Order Your Repeat Prescription Online
You can now order repeat prescriptions online via the link opposite -> and or the NHS app. In order to use this service you must have previously obtained the necessary security access codes. Please ring reception for further details if you need assistance registering to use this service.
Repeat prescriptions may also be obtained by completing the right-hand side of your previous prescription and returning it to the surgery.
Home delivery of medication can be arranged, where appropriate, through your local pharmacy. Please note that this arrangement needs to be set up between the patient and the pharmacy.
Medication reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner, or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
Prescriptions charges and exemptions
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).
The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount that successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
